Sheffield
Sheffield is a city and metropolitan borough in South Yorkshire (coordinates - 53°23′09″N, 1°28′10″W).The population is estimated at 525,800 people. Sheffield has an international reputation for metallurgy and steel-making.While iron and steel have long been the main industries, coal mining has also been a major industry.Sheffield is a major retail centre too, and home to many High Street and department stores as well as designer boutiques. Sheffield is a snooker centre, because the city's Crucible Theatre is the venue for the World Snooker Championships. The city also has a number of tourist attractions such as the Lyceum Theatre and four art galleries.
